Speedweeks Continues at East Bay Raceway Park

Brian qualified sixth-fastest in his group in time trials, and then finished third in his heat race to lock into the the 18th starting spot for the $12,000-to-win feature event. Shirley improved nine spots in the 50-lapper to place ninth.
On Saturday evening, 55 cars returned for the final night at East Bay Raceway Park. After posting the third quickest lap in his time trial group, Brian won his heat race to lock into the sixth starting spot for the 50-lap feature. He raced amongst the Top-5 throughout the main event to finish fourth behind race winner Brandon Sheppard, Devin Moran, and Tyler Erb. Shane Clanton rounded out the Top-5.
The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Speedweeks concluded on Sunday at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.). After finishing second in his heat race, Brian started fifth in the 50-lap, $10,000-to-win feature. Shirley was an early retiree from the main event, resulting in a 21st-place outing.
