Pair of Top-5 Finishes in Wild West Shootout to Open 2021

Brian Shirley traveled to FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Ariz. over the weekend to kick off the 15th Annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout. After struggling in qualifying on Saturday, Brian charged to runner-up finish in his heat race to earn the seventh starting position for the opening night feature. With $5,000 on the line, Shirley advance four spots to record a third-place outing behind Jonathan Davenport and Ricky Thornton Jr. Chris Simpson and Cody Laney rounded out the Top-5. In another $5,000-to-win program on Sunday, Shirley posted QuickTime in his qualifying group before picking up a heat race victory. Slipping one spot in the 40-lap main event, Brian posted a solid fourth-place finish behind Ricky Thornton Jr., Jonathan Davenport, and Mike Marlar. Jason Feger completed the Top-5 finishers.
