Drawing a stout field of 63 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Brian followed up a sixth-to-fourth run in his heat race with a B-Main victory. Starting the $6,000-to-win preliminary feature in 20th, Shirley faded two spots in the 30-lapper to finish 22nd.
With his finish on Friday relegating him into the B-Main on Saturday, Shirley secured his spot into the $50,000-to-win Show-Me 100 with a second-place finish. Rolling off 22nd, Brian was credited with a 26th-place outing after retiring on lap 63.
On Sunday, Brian stopped at Spoon River Speedway (Banner, Ill.) for the MARS Racing Series-sanctioned Gary Cook Jr. Memorial. With a heat race win placing him on the front-row for the $5,064-to-win A-Main, Brian dropped one positon in the 40-lapper to finish third. He trailed Jason Feger and Ryan Unzicker to the checkers.
