Runner-up finish in Spring Nationals event at Clarksville

Bob Cullen Racing pilot Brian Shirley returned to action on Friday evening at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tenn.) after losing a handful of events to Mother Nature. In a field of 21 Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals entries, Shirley battled mechanical gremlins in his time trial session and the feature. On Saturday evening at Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tenn.), Brian secured his spot into the $10,053-to-win A-Main with a second-place finish in his heat. Racing forward three spots in the 53-lap affair, Shirley notched a runner-up finish, which came behind Jadon Frame.
