Brian Shirley and Bob Cullen Racing finish 13th in Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora
On Wednesday afternoon, Brian Shirley unloaded his Bob Cullen Racing No. 3S machine at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the 30th-annual Dirt Late Model Dream.
Losing Wednesday's FloRacing Night in America event right after hot laps, Brian Shirley watched Thursday's action from the pit area as he was slated to participate in Friday's preliminary event.
On Friday, Shirley made up for a mediocre qualifying lap by charging from seventh-to-fourth in his heat race. Starting 16th in the $25,000-to-win preliminary feature, Brian brought home a 20th-place outing.
Slated to start seventh in a heat race on Saturday, Brian stormed forward and picked up five positions to finish runner-up and transfer to the big dance. With a $100,030 payday on the line, Shirley completed all 100 laps and recorded a 13th-place finish.
