Shirley continues World of Outlaws hot streak with pair of podium finishes at Atomic Speedway
Fresh off a weekend sweep with the tour, Brian Shirley and his Bob Cullen Racing team followed the World of Outlaw Case Construction Late Model Series to Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) for the Fireball weekend.
With 31 competitors signed in for the weekend, Shirley took the checkered flag in his heat and battled Bobby Pierce for the win during the $10,000-to-win feature but ultimately settled for a runner-up finish.
The following evening, Brian started further back in the $15,000-to-win finale but charged forward to still end up on the podium in third. He trailed Ryan Gustin and Bobby Pierce while Nick Hoffman and Adam Stricker completed the Top-5.
Shirley currently sits seventh in the WoO point standings.
