Brian Shirley attends Dirt Track World Championship at Eldora Speedway

In attendance for Championship Weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Brian Shirley joined a 61-car field at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Friday evening for the Dirt Track World Championship.

Laying down a strong lap in qualifying, Shirley ran runner-up to Mike Marlar in his heat race which positioned him to start on the sixth-row of Saturday's main event. In the $100,000-to-win finale on Saturday, Brian was involved in a wreck on the third lap which eventually resulted in him pulling in early. Shirley recorded a 28th-place finish.
